Construction Industry Union Membership Reaches All Time Low; South Carolina tied with North Carolina for Lowest Rate of Union Membership

The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics published a report on January 25, 2007 that found that union membership in the Construction Industry reached an all time low of 13% in 2006.  The previous low was 13.1% in 2005.  Will this trend continue?

As an interesting note, the report found that South Carolina and North Carolina posted the lowest union membership rates of 3.3% each.  Read the
